The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) would start from March 23 to May 4. According to the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Fawad Ahmed Chaudhry IPL would not be telecasted in Pakistan.
Following the Pulawama attack, India stopped the telecast of Pakistan Super League 2019. Fawad Ahmed says they can’t tolerate IPL shown in Pakistan, like the way India treated PSL. He claims if IPL is not shown in Pakistan, it will be a loss for IPL and Indian cricket as they are a cricketing superpower in international cricket.
They tried to keep politics and cricket apart. However, during the last series, the Indian cricket team played matches wearing army caps against Australia.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chepauk in IPL opening match on Saturday. There would not be much difference in the craze for IPL and its players by the decision of Pakistan. Having said Pakistani players are no longer taking part in IPL since several seasons.
