Melbourne: Novak Djokovic clinched a record-breaking seventh Australian Open title by defeating Rafael Nadal in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. The world No.1 gets the victory in just two hours and four minutes on Sunday.
At 31 years old, Novak Djokovic the world No. 1 claimed his third consecutive Grand Slam. Serving eight aces to Nadal’s three and notching five break points Djokovic never had his own serve broken.
Djokovic now has 15 career Grand Slam wins. Even with injuries in the past, the Serbian star looks utterly unbeatable now.
While on Saturday Naomi Osaka beats Petra Kvitova 7-6(2) 5-7 6-4 to become the first Japanese player to win the Australian Open.
