YSRCP MLA and former minister Tammineni Sitaram from Amudalavalasa constituency was elected as the speaker of Andhra Pradesh assembly. Sambangi China Venkata Appala Naidu who was the pro-term speaker declared Sitaram as the speaker as he was elected unopposed by all MLA’s.
Tammineni Sitaram was accompanied to the chair by Chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy, TDP legislator K Atchannaidu and Jana Sena MLA Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao and other MLAs from the ruling party. Chandrababu Naidu too congratulated him and said that Sitaram will uphold the dignity of the chair.
