Demanding for special status for the state of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu began a day long fast in the national capital on Monday. He paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat and headed to Andhra Pradesh Bhavan to observe the fast. The fast will begin from 8am on Monday in demand of special category status for the state and fulfillment of assurances given during its bifurcation. A memorandum will be submitted to the President the next day.
Several Opposition party leaders are expected to extend solidarity to Chandra babu Naidu’s protest in Delhi. So far the CM has participated in ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ in 11 districts of Andhra Pradesh. TDP chief said: Personal attacks by PM on him are unwarranted.
