In the state cabinet meeting held on Monday, Andhra Pradesh government has rolled out several benefits to people with a focus on the farming sector.
- The cabinet waived life tax on auto rickshaws and light goods vehicles and quarterly tax on tractors, this decision would benefit over 9.79 lakh vehicle owners in the state.
- 1.82 lakh tractors would get the tax waiver, in addition, the cabinet cleared a proposal to waive tax on 1.45 lakh tractor trailers amounting to Rs 11 crore.
- In order to obtain feedback on the government’s welfare programmes to people’s doorsteps, the cabinet has decided to give Android phones to women members.
