Chairman of InterGlobe Aviation, which operates India’s largest domestic airline – Indigo Airlines, Mr. Devadas Mallya (66) passed away on Sunday. He was also the nonexecutive independent director. It was reported that he was suffering from cancer for the past two years. He was undergoing the treatment when he passed away on November 25, 2018.
All the directors and employees conveyed the deepest condolences to his family and felt that his sudden demise is an irreparable loss to the company.
Mr. Devadas Mallya had severed as Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Maharashtra and Bank of Baroda in the past.
