Airports Authority of India issues a Request for Proposal to privatize the operations, maintenance and development of six growing airports in India. This list includes Lucknow, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Managluru, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.

Delhi and Mumbai Airports were part of privatization a decade earlier. AAI expects to give another opportunity to private players, however on tight deadlines. The interested parties are expected to submit the bids by February 14th, 2019. The bids will be opened and awarded on February 28th, 2019.

AAI is looking to outsource the services to private players for 50 years.
